ONLINE SICK APPOINTMENT SELF-SCHEDULING

We are proud to announce the ability to schedule sick visits online daily.

Please read the criteria below to ensure a successful appointment.

  • Morning sick appointments will open online Monday–Friday. These appointments open at 5:00am and close at 8:30am.
  • Same day sick appointments will open online Monday-Friday at 8:30am and close at 4:00pm.
  • Afterhours sick appointments will open online Monday-Friday at 4:00pm and close at the discretion of the on-call physician.
  • Weekend sick appointments will open online Saturday and Sunday at 8:30am and close at the discretion of the on-call physician.
  • A “no call, no show” will be assessed if more than one time slot is booked for the same patient OR if you do not keep your appointment.
  • Siblings should be booked in consecutive 15 min slots to ensure both children are seen by the same physician simultaneously.
  • These appointments are for symptoms that began at least 24 hours ago but no more than 3 days and include symptoms such as one or more of the following: cough, nasal congestion, sore throat, ear pain, eye discharge or urinary discomfort.
  • These visits are not conducive for behavior health or medical concerns present for greater than 3 days. If booked, these appointments will be rescheduled.
  • The text confirmation code will only go to the primary phone number listed on your child’s account. If your number is not the primary number listed on the account, you will need to acquire the confirmation code from the individual who is listed as the primary phone number. Your appointment will not be saved without entering the confirmation code. 

Our nurse triage line will continue to open each morning at 8:30AM for triage advice and sick visit scheduling when necessary. If there are no online appointments available, please call to speak to a triage nurse.

Our Pediatric-specific medical staff at Mountain Area Pediatrics consists of six Board Certified Pediatricians. Additionally, our ancillary clinical staff of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Medical Assistants, and Phlebotomists, offer top-notch care with countless years of experience.

Our Pediatricians are on the admitting medical staff at Mission Hospital for newborns, and have close working relationships with the “big kid” inpatient pediatric hospitalists/intensivists. Whatever your pediatric needs may be, the staff at Mountain Area Pediatrics will assist you with compassion, professionalism, and expertise!

From a Dream to a Reality

Mountain Area Pediatrics (MAPA) transitioned from being a dream to a reality when Dr. J. Bennett Bailey started the practice in 1980. Dr. Bailey (Dr. Ben as he is known by his patients and countless others who adore him) strived to provide personalized, thoughtful, compassionate care to his patients.

He always took time to listen. Many have said that “Dr. Ben is worth the wait because I know that when he is with my child, my child is the only thing in this world during the very special visit.” Since 1980, more than 60,000 children have passed through the doors of MAPA.

OUR SERVICES

Appointment times are available daily for a variety of needs including Newborn Visits, Well Child Visits, Hospital Follow-ups, Behavior Consultations (including diagnosing and management of ADD/ADHD), Nutrition and Exercise Counseling, Asthma and Same Day Sick Visits.

We have a co-management agreement with a behavioral health facility and we can refer to outside behavior health professional if needed. Dental varnish is available at well child visits for our younger patients. MAPA is equipped with an onsite lab offering multiple diagnostic tests. As part of our advanced care team we have a group of telephone triage nurses, including RN’s and LPN’s, who are available to speak to you about the health of your child.
