Dr. O’Donnell hails from Manchester, New Hampshire, a place he still holds near and dear to his heart. He left New Hampshire to attend the University of Notre Dame in Indiana where he earned a degree in Psychology / Pre-Medicine. Dr. O’Donnell pursued his medical education in the windy city of Chicago at Loyola University’s Stritch School of Medicine.
Upon completion of medical school, Dr. O’Donnell entered the ranks of active military duty completing his pediatric residency at David Grant Medical Center in Northern California. Prior to joining MAPA in October 2006, Dr. O’Donnell served four years as a pediatrician caring for military kids at Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta, Georgia. Since their arrival to Asheville, Dr. O’Donnell and his wife Kim have welcomed a son and two daughters to their family. They enjoy spending time with their kids, hiking, biking, and exercising at the YMCA.
