Office Overhaul is Underway!

Hello all! There is so much going on here at Mountain Area Pediatrics, and we could not be more excited: our building is set to receive a major overhaul in conjunction with our new logo. We’ll be touching almost everything you see when you come visit us, so while this is all going on, be patient (a mantra we will be whispering under our breaths daily, no doubt, until this is all over). Not only will these renovations create a space that gives a feeling of fresh, clean and uncluttered space; it will also establish a space for us to continue doing what we love for years and years to come.
To all our families, thank you for your patience with us as this process plays out, and enjoy the crazy pictures of the progress yet to come,
Dr. Meg

Welcome to the Blog!

Along with our new website, I’m so excited to introduce to you our new BLOG 🙂

For those who may not know me, I’m Dr. Meg Goodwin. I’ve been at Mountain Area Pediatrics for 5 years, and could not be happier in the role I’ve found of physician, mother, and community member here in western North Carolina.
In that role of Pediatrician I get the opportunity to sit down and talk with families about a number of challenges that may come up along the way, everything from strep throat to behavioral changes through hard times such as a death in the family or divorce. Those are huge issues! And though brevity may be the “soul of wit” it is the biggest pitfall of trying to doctor, with appointment times often limited to 15 minutes. With this new blog I hope to take time to talk to you and with you, spending extra time in both text, and (on the occasional good hair day) face-to-face with video content. I welcome thoughts, contributions, recommendations for topics, and respectful dialogue from all though our Facebook page.
Additionally, I’ll be using this platform to keep everyone posted on changes and upcoming events/going-ons at Mountain Area Pediatrics. Hint: so much is changing!!!
Thanks to all of you who’ve made it this far, and much love to your littles,
Dr. Meg
